Pan Tianshou (1898-1971) is a modern artist and educationalist in fine arts. He possesses skills in free hand brushwork in flower-and-bird painting as well as mountain-and-water painting. With his poetry, calligraphy, painting and seal-cutting merged into an organic whole, his works possess a unique style all of their own. The old memorial hall is Pan's former residence where he lived from 1928 to 1971. It is a Western-style, two-storied building. The main room is his studio-cum-study in which are set out his articles for daily use.  On display in the side rooms are his paintings, writing, calligraphy, and other works.
