Brief of Gao's Private Garden
Situated at the west of Gongchen Bridge, Gao’s Private Garden is a Chinese garden villa listed into Hangzhou cultural relics protection units. It was built by Gao Yicheng, a family relative of Li Hongzhang who was the minister of the Qing Dynasty, in the early period of Republic of China. It is the only survived well-preserved Qing Dynasty building and private garden, with an area of 1, 200 square meters. It consists of pool, zigzag bridge, rockery, the Nan Hua Lou and the Ai Ri Lou.
