Brief of Zhonghe River---Longshan River
Zhonghe River---Longshan River(杭州中河-龙山河) is an integral part of the Jiangnan Canal(江南运河). During the Northern Song Dynasty(960-1127), Zhonghe River---Longshan River was dredged to adjust flood.
Longshan River starts from Jiakou in the south and ends at Fengshan Water Gate(凤山门) in the north. It totals at 4400m in length. Longshan River is infamous for its crowded traffic during the past 100 years. It was a key water getaway to Fuyang in south Hangzhou. Currently, it is a scenic pedestrian walkway of Hangzhou.
