Brief of Xinyifang Gourmet Street
Situated along the bank of the Yuhang Tang River, this is one of Hangzhou's most famous streets specialising in Chinese and Western food.
Reminiscent of an ancient waterside fair this street is known for its delicious Chinese food and is also home to a number of restaurants, including Brazilian BBQ, Thai and South Korean cuisines.
Integrating a number of cultures in a modern day setting, gourmet street still possesses a traditional Chinese appeal. Set in a calm and peaceful location it provides locals and visitors a chance to experience a number of culinary tastes while escaping the hustle and bustle of city life.
Whilst week days are relatively quiet please note weekends and national holidays can get very crowded. It is recommended that you get there early otherwise you may miss out on some of the streets specialities such as the Xu Fu beef offal, the seafood at Little Harvest Seafood Booth, the South Korean dishes at Small Busan and the Tong County special pot dishes.
Whatever the time of day it is, a visit to Hangzhou's gourmet street will be a pleasant and tasteful experience.
