2018 Zhejiang (Shanghai) Travel Mart Came to a Successful Conclusion

After three busy days of exhibition and spot sale, 2018 Zhejiang (Shanghai) Travel Mart titled “Picturesque Zhejiang-a Thousand Dishes in a Hundred Counties” drew to a successful close. On December 23, the summing-up meeting was held in Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center, which invited Xu Peng, deputy director-general of Zhejiang Culture and Tourism Office to deliver a summary speech and members of the organizing committee and mart participants to attend this event.

Mr. Xu pointed out that this year marks the 10th anniversary of Zhejiang Travel Mart held outside of Zhejiang province since 2009 and the travel mart successful achieved the goal of propagandizing the tourist band of “Picturesque Zhejiang” in terms of the exhibition stand scale, media publicity, public participation of commodity sales and so on. The activity created 4 firsts: 1. the first event after the construction of Zhejiang Culture and Tourism Office; 2. the first to invite the oriented tourism offices in the project of pairing-assistance; 3. the first to invite international guests; 4. The first to set up food exhibition hall on the theme of “a Thousand Dishes in a Hundred Counties”.

It is estimated that visitors of the travel mart amount to 242 thousands and 700 thousands brochures were given out. With 1503 signed contrasts concerning 68654 people, the mart has achieved sales of 9.9482 million.

After the travel mart, five prizes including “Special Award of Merit”, “Best Organizer Award”, “Best Exhibition Stand Award”, “Excellent Exhibition Stand Award” and “Most Popular Tourist Commodity Award” were awarded to the price winners, which cover 77 units including Zhejiang Culture and Tourism Information Center, Zhejiang Radio & TV Group, Haixi Municipal Administration of Tourism in Qinghai Province.
